Alliance Summer Network Check-In Webinar (June 2026)
The Alliance hosted a webinar for the Colorado CHW, PN, PdS network on the current status of key issues and projects, and upcoming opportunities. Topics included: update of reimbursement mechanisms for CHWs in Colorado; Colorado CHW credentialing infrastructure and pathways; best practices in Colorado across three domains of sustaining CHW & patient navigation programs through reimbursement; resources for navigating the CHW billing, reimbursement, and sustainability workflow; preview of Alliance in-person CHW convening in September 2026.

Local Navigator Network (LNN) Winter 2026 meeting: Landscape and Needs of CHWs and their Employers in Colorado (January 2026)
Colorado’s LNN is a partnership between The Alliance and The Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) to convene a Colorado-based network of Patient Navigators, Community Health Workers, and Promotores de Salud in order to facilitate communication, networking and education among peers and improve patient outcomes and survivorship, especially among those working along the cancer continuum.
This session focused on a discussion of the current landscape of Colorado as it relates to CHWs, including perspectives from CHWs and their employers regarding the state of the workforce, key opportunities and challenges, and the needs of CHWs and the communities they serve.

2025 Alliance Convening – April 24th, 2025 | Aurora, CO
The Alliance hosted a full-day in convening on April 24th, 2025 to support the Colorado Community Health Worker, Patient Navigator, and Promotor(a) de Salud community with implementing strategies to sustain the workforce, including reimbursement mechanisms, credentialing, and other innovative strategies. Participants included CHWs/PNs/PdS roles and their supervisors, leadership/administrative staff from healthcare and community-based organizations, clinicians, public health professionals, and others who aim to support the CHW/PN/PdS workforce in Colorado. Please note Community Health Workers (CHWs) are used as an umbrella term for this category of roles throughout the meeting.
